Welcome! My name is Tina Barton. My husband and I have been married for 26 years. We have six amazing children, the youngest of which has Down syndrome and is restricted to a pureed diet (check out Matthew’s Story). Having to deal with Matthew’s special dietary needs on a daily basis has been a challenge and has brought me to a realization. I am not the only one going through this. There are other families with special needs children and adults as well as families with aging adults who are unable to eat a regular diet. It was at that point that I knew I must share what I have learned over the years.
I have had the privilege of being a stay-at-home-mom which means I have living on a budget down to a science. It has not been easy but it has always been rewarding. Our family has endured many lay-offs and that is where my skills come in. This blog, whether you or someone you know has dietary restrictions or not, will not only show you the benefit of making quick and healthy whole food meals with your Vitamix but will also show you how to save money doing it. Each recipe comes with tips to show you how to do all three.
